Collection III · The Shave
Brush handles, safety-razor handles, stands and lather bowls, turned for the ritual of a slow morning.
The collection
The traditional wet shave is one of the last daily rituals that rewards good objects. A turned brush handle, a weighted razor handle and a stand to hold them both turn five minutes at the sink into something you look forward to.
The razor heads and blades are precision-made by specialist makers; what is turned here is the handle, the stand and the bowl. Brush knots default to high-quality synthetic fibre, which lathers beautifully and is easy to source responsibly.
The first pieces in this collection are made to commission. Yours could be the one that defines it.
The first edition
This collection is made to order. There is no stock and no shelf: tell William about the person and the ritual, and the first piece is designed around them.
What can be made
Every piece starts from a refined mechanism or from nothing at all. Choose a starting point here, then the wood, the resin and the finish with William. Every option below is something he can make for you.

Questions
No, and we will never imply it. Safety-razor heads and straight-razor blades come from specialist makers. William turns the handle, the scales or the stand, and fits the whole piece together.
Synthetic knots are the default: they perform superbly, dry fast and are straightforward to source responsibly. Ask about other knots in your brief.
Shaving pieces are made from stabilized wood or resin and sealed for a wet environment. Each piece comes with simple care notes.
The design concierge
Talk with the DeVito Gallery concierge, an AI that speaks in William's own voice. It asks the questions he would ask, then hands him your brief.
You will see what it can and cannot do before the microphone turns on. Conversations are recorded so William can follow up.
Commissions
Tell William who it is for, what they love, and what you have in mind. He reads every brief himself and replies personally.
